What does Consciously Sourced mean?

Everybody talks about being 'ethically' or 'consciously' sourced, but what does consciously sourced actually mean?

Conscious consumerism is when buying practices are driven by a commitment to making purchasing decisions that have a positive social, economic and environmental impact.

Conscious consumerism is the practice of mindfully making a purchase in consideration of the brand’s or product’s social and/or environmental impact. In other words, you’re consciously making the decision to buy something with an awareness of what your money will be contributing to.

But, the easiest way to remember what conscious consumerism is that we “think before we buy”.

So with this in mind how are we contributing to conscious consumerism?

We are cruelty free:

All our products are cruelty-free. None of our products or ingredients are tested on animals. Animal testing is often painful and cause the suffering and death of millions of animals every year.

We are ethical:

We believe that all brands are responsible for providing decent working conditions, ethical treatment of workers, and fair wages. Before doing business with potential suppliers, we ensure that their business practices follow fair trade, safety regulations, environmental sustainability and are generally respecting the Earth and all it's inhabitants.

We are sustainable:

The consumer industries, especially the fashion industry, come with a huge implicit cost that negatively affects the environment. We make sure we are making an intentional effort to reduce our ecological footprint. To read more please refer to our Environmental Promise.

We are toxic free:

All our products are non-toxic. Meaning all our products use natural, chemical free ingredients. Untested chemicals can be harmful to your bodies and the environment and this is something we do not promote.

With all this is mind are you going to become a conscious consumer?
