Crystals

Crystals are beautiful formations formed underground from an arrangement of atoms, molecules & iron. This creates crystal lattice that extends in all directions. They come in all different shapes & sizes & each one has different characteristics.

Crystals are extremely good at holding a steady vibration due to their crystalline structure. Whereas our vibrations are complex which can become easily unbalanced. You can learn to harness their energy & use them to help you achieve harmony & balance within oneself.

Each crystal will resonate with you differently, therefore we suggest using different crystals through your self-care journey to help you rest & rejuvenate your body, mind & spirit.

To remove old or negative energy & to ensure they are working at their highest vibration it is important to cleanse & charge your crystals. This is especially the case when you first bring them home or after being used for energy healing, meditation or guidance. There are many ways to cleanse & charge your crystals & its important to choose the method that is right for you.

Why and When to Cleanse and Charge Your Crystals

Regularly cleansing & charging your crystal is important as crystals pick up all kinds of energies from your thoughts, feelings, other people and places.

  • Energetically cleansing them clears away anything that should not be there and brings your crystal back into perfect balance and working at an optimal level.
  • Charging restores your crystal to its original energy.

When should you cleanse and recharge your crystal?

1: When you get new crystals. It's recommend you always cleanse and charge new crystals that you bought, found or were given.

2: After wearing or carrying them throughout the day.

3: After using them in a crystal healing treatment. This includes placing crystals on parts of your body, doing a crystal healing layout, visualising or meditating with crystals.

4: If someone else touches or handles them. Energy is transferred easily this way.

5: Before and after using them in a crystal grid.

6:. Once a month for display crystals. Crystals on display or left out in your home pick up energies over time.

7: If you feel the crystal needs cleansing and charging. Never ignore your ability to sense energy. If you feel it needs cleansing and charging sooner than normal, then do it.

Ways to Cleanse and Charge your Crystals

There are many ways to cleanse and charge your crystals. Its always best to choose a method that suits you.

Sunlight: Is a great way to both energetically cleanse and charge you crystals. Sunlight breaks down negative energy and its power and energy can be easily infused into the crystal to provide the recharging it needs. We recommend no longer then hour.

Moonlight: Simply leave your crystals overnight during a full moon. The moon is at its brightest and full potential when full, which can increase the crystals vibrations.

Earth: Let the earth soak up all the unwanted energy contained within the crystals so they are cleansed and refreshed. Leave for 1-2 days and then uncover.

Selenite: Amplifies the energy of your crystals. It has the ability to absorb, neutralize and then recharge your crystal with higher vibrations. Ensure it is bigger then the crystal your cleansing. To cleanse and charge your crystals lay them on top of your selenite for at least 6 hours.

Palo Santo Wood: A sweet fragrance can eliminate negative energy. For centuries Palo Santo has been used for energy cleansing. When the wood is burned it’s believed to clear negative energy and restore tranquility and calm.

White Sage Incense:  Used to bless, cleanse and heal the person or object being smudged. Also used to 'wash off' the outside world.

Programming Your Crystals

Programming is adding your own energy to your crystal. This is when you imprint your personal intentions into the crystal. By doing so you are directing your crystals energy to a specific intention.

Choose a crystal that matches the vibration of your intention, as this will align your intention with the energy of your crystal.

Once your crystal is cleansed and charged hold your crystal and clear your mind of any negativity. Still your mind and visualise your intention. You may want to say your intention out aloud or repeat it in your head, constantly focusing on the connection.

Cleansing (Smudging)

You can cleanse (also known as smudging) crystals, yourself and your space using Sage, Lavender, Palo Wood or Natural Herbs etc.

Before lighting your smudge stick or loose herbs we recommend opening your windows to create a clear exit path for all negative and unwanted energy.

With a clear intention in mind, light your smudge stick or loose herbs and gently blow them out to allow it to smolder. Ensure to keep your intention on what you want to achieve clear in your mind and focus on this while you are smudging.

  • To cleanse your crystals, ensure you are holding the crystals within the stream of dense smoke. The more smoke that passes through the crystal, the cleaner it will become.
  • To cleanse your environment, walk through your space, paying extra attention to corners, cupboards and dark spaces where unwanted energy may be hiding.
  • To smudge yourself or someone else, swirl your smudge wand gently around the person, from head to toe. This will cleanse their aura.

If you are using an abalone shell and loose herbs, place the loose herbs in abalone shell or other safe surface e.g. metal or clay bowl, shell, crystal agate dish. Carefully light sage with small flame and blow lightly until only embers and smoke remain.

When smudging, make sure to place a natural substance like sand or sea salt in your shell before you lay your lit herbs on top of it, as this will protect it from getting too hot and burning away the stunning pearly layer inside.

Candles

Did you know...

Our candles are hand poured using either pure soy wax or pure soy & coconut wax

Soy and coconut wax is an eco-friendly, biodegradable and sustainable product. Made from soybeans, soy wax is known to burn more slowly than most other waxes, burning 50% longer than regular candles.

Soy and coconut wax releases no known carcinogens into the air and therefore are much healthier for humans, pets and the environment.

Tips & Tricks

Before lighting your candle take a deep breath and recite an affirmation when. It will help calm and centre you, helping you to find your Zen

For our Intentions Range, as the crystals become loose, please remove them and rinse them under warm water to remove any residual wax. Be careful as they can get hot.

For our Empowerment Range, leave the crystals in whilst burning. They will drop beneath the wax and continue to vibrate at a high frequency. Rinse them under warm water to remove any residual wax. Pop the crystal chips into plant pots, small jars or trinket bowls the list is endless and you can continue to benefit from their vibrations.

Never leave your candle unattended and keep out of reach of children.

Always allow the wax to burn so that it melts across to the edges of the jar. If it is not fully melted to the edges, it can leave your candle prone to tunneling and a shortened burn time.

Keep your candle wick cut to 5mm prior to each burn.

Candle waxes and fragrances are sensitive to both temperature and light. Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Please leave around 1cm of wax at the bottom to finish. Do not let the wick continue to burn, as there is simply not enough wax to absorb the heat below this level.

Ensure you position your candle away from drafts. A draft can result in an uneven burn and will reduce the life of your candle.

You can re-purpose your jar. Soy wax is super soft and the finished candle can be cleaned gently under warm water.

Balancing your Chakras with Crystals

Using your 7 crystals make sure that they are cleansed of negative energy and are ready to use.

Next cleanse the space in which you will be balancing your chakras, then lie down in a comfortable position.

Place the crystals on your body, starting at the base chakra and working your way up towards the crown chakra.

Once all 7 crystals have been placed on your chakras stay in this layout for about 15-30 minutes.

After this time you can begin to remove the crystals from your body. Take the crystals off in the opposite direction, starting at the crown chakra and work down towards your base chakra. This is to help you stay grounded. Once you have finished, drink some water and take it easy. You could even re-ground yourself by sitting with your feet on the grass.

For your neck, start from the base of your neck and move up under your chin.

Himalayan Salt Lamps

Why does a Himalayan salt lamp sweat?

Salt is hygroscopic – meaning it has a natural moisture absorbing nature, they gather moisture & become damp. Himalayan salt lamps purify the surrounding air through moisture absorption. As a result, your salt lamp will sweat. This is the natural process of salt.

How to stop Himalayan salt lamp from sweating?

Switching on the lamp daily for a long period of time keeps the natural salt crystal warm and helps to dry it out. A warm lamp evaporates any excess moisture and there is no more salt lamp leaking or sweating. Since salt lamp bulbs use very little energy, even if you leave it on all the time it costs minimal. So, there is no excess electricity used too.

Caring for your Himalayan Salt Lamp

Even though Himalayan crystal salt lamps are made of salt, they are durable. Just the right care and maintenance will keep the salt lamp last for ages

Do not place your salt lamp in a humid and damp environment. Placing your salt lamp in a room where moisture levels are high will collect excessive moisture and start sweating.

Do not wash your lamp directly with water or running water. This causes the salt to dissolve in water.

Do keep your salt lamp dry. Keeping your salt lamps on for longer periods absorbs the excess moisture and keeps the lamp dry. This can prolong the life of your Himalayan salt lamps.

To clean your Himalayan salt lamp, switch off the lamp and let it cool to room temperature. Take a damp microfibre cloth (not a wet one) and gently wipe the surface of the lamp to remove the dust or dirt. You can also choose a lint-free cloth to make sure no bits are left behind as the surface of the salt is rough. Finally switch on the lamp to remove any excess moisture and dry it out.

It is important to remember not to wash your salt lamps with water directly coming on the surface or do not immerse/submerge your lamp in water. It is suggested not to use warm water to clean your salt lamp as the salt surface might melt.

Massage Rollers

Gently roll your roller over your skin for at least 5-10 minutes. Keep in mind that you don’t have to press hard. Just let the roller glide over your skin with ease.

Before you start make sure to wash your face with your favorite moisturising serum or cleanser.

Repeat each action 6-10 times and on both sides of your face.

The key to getting the massage right is to start at your neck and work your way upward. Tilting your head back slowly, applying gentle pressure up and down your neck and jaw.

Place the roller in the middle of your chin and roll up to your ear.

Place the roller in the middle of your forehead and roll down to your ear.

Using the shorter side of the roller, close your eyes and roll from the inside of your eyes to the outside of your eyes.

Place the roller on your eyebrow, near your nose. Roll if from the inside to the outside of your brow.

To reduce crow's feet, place the short end of your roller on the outside of your eye and roll up and down a few times in quick motions. Don't use too much pressure.

Be sure to sanitize your roller with soapy water, especially if you’ve used it to apply product.
